On low pitch roofs, we install more ice and water shield under the shingles to protect your home.
Are there rain sensors on opening skylights?
Yes! Should you forget about your opening skylight in a rainstorm, VELUX has you covered. Their Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylights and Electric Fresh Air Skylights have fully integrated rain sensors included with the skylight. There is also a manual chain available to unlatch from the skylight to close it for peace of mind.
How do I maintain my sun-tunnel?
Sun tunnel maintenance is super simple. Aside from regular maintenance like skylights, Sun Tunnel diffuser can be easily removed with a small twist. Should you see any moisture inside your sun tunnel, no need to be alarmed. Condensation can occur with rapid changes in temperature, and a simple wipe with a cloth should do the trick.
